Interpol Issues Warrant of Arrest For Do Kwon, hi Launches NFT Card, Binance Enables Futures Trading in South Africa

Interpol Issues Warrant of Arrest For Do Kwon
Interpol has issued a Red Notice for Do Kwon, founder of Terraform Labs. Do Kwon is on the run for allegations relating to the $60 billion cryptocurrency wipeout. South Korean officials have charged Kwon and five others with various offenses, including violations of capital-markets law. TerraUSD algorithmic stablecoin and its sister token Luna are creations of Terraform Labs.
“I am not “on the run” or anything similar. For any government agency that has shown interest to communicate, we are in full cooperation, and we don’t have anything to hide,” posted Do Kwon in his latest tweet, last week.
Luna and UST coins crashed in May, causing massive losses in cryptocurrency markets. Also, the demise of the TerraUSD currency, an algorithmic stablecoin, shook the crypto sector.
hi Launches NFT Card
hi, a web3 neobank, has partnered with Mastercard to launch an NFT cryptocurrency fiat debit card. The card allows users to personalize the face of the card with their favorite NFTs. However, users must first verify that they own the NFT.
“As consumer interest in crypto and NFTs continues to grow, we are committed to making them an accessible payment choice for the communities who wish to use them. We are proud to be working with hi to continue to drive innovation in the market and enable these customizable cards together with the safety and security you’d expect from Mastercard,” says Christian Rau, Senior Vice President, Crypto and Fintech Enablement at Mastercard.
The benefits for cardholders include a 1 - 10% spend reward, a rebate on subscriptions, and other perks. Europeans and UK nationals are the first to be able to activate, followed by other markets shortly after. Every region also has a waitlist, and anybody can apply.
