Cristiano Ronaldo Partners with Binance, Do Kwon Devastated by Luna Crash, Ledger Launches NFT Marketplace

Cristiano Ronaldo Partners with Binance
Cristiano Ronaldo, the legendary football player, has partnered with Binance to launch an NFT collection. It is a multi-year exclusive NFT partnership and will be Ronaldo's first NFT collection. The collection will be available on the Binance NFT Marketplace later in the year.
“Nothing is more important to me than the fans, so the idea of bringing unprecedented experiences and access through this platform is something that I wanted to be a part of. I know the fans are going to enjoy the collection as much as I do,” said Cristiano Ronaldo.
The first collection will include iconic designs in collaboration with Ronaldo. “We are thrilled to provide his fans with exclusive engagement opportunities to connect with Ronaldo and own a piece of iconic sports history,” said CZ, the founder, and CEO of Binance.
Do Kwon Devastated by Luna Crash
Do Kwon, the founder of Terraform Labs, told The Wall Street Journal that he was devastated by the Luna crash. Kwon claimed that he lost most of his net worth during the Luna implosion.
“I made confident bets and made confident statements on behalf of UST because I believed in its resilience and its value proposition. I’ve since lost these bets, but my actions 100% match my words. There is a difference between failing and running a fraud,” said Do Kwon during the interview.
Luna, Terraform Labs' native token, crashed from a high of $100 to a low of -$0.00. The crash wiped out over $40 billion of investors' money. After the crash, Kwon forked the Luna chain to launch a Luna 2.0. “I have great confidence in our ability to build back even stronger than we once were,” said Kwon.
Ledger Launches NFT Marketplace
Ledger, a cryptocurrency hardware and security firm, is launching an NFT marketplace platform called Ledger Market. The platform will prioritize security and transparency. According to Pascal Gauthier, the CEO of Ledger, security is one of the biggest problems faced by the NFT industry. Ledger Market is partnering with brands such as LVMH's Tag Heuer, NFT collection DeadFellaz and Brick/Babylon to list their assets on the marketplace.
Ledger will also launch other products focused on Web3 education and security. The company is also launching Ledger Enterprise Create, a platform where companies can scale their Web3 projects and securely move into the NFT space. “What we want to do at Ledger is to accompany creators and brands throughout their NFT journey and to secure the whole stack from minting the NFT to distribution into production,” said Gauthier.
